Problem Solving & Contest Training

 2008 MathCounts Prep Registration 

Purpose: MathCounts is a highly competitive national math competition for Junior High students for over 25 years. Each school is allowed to send max 8 students for the contest. Most schools are selective in choosing the students to represent the school team by administering tryout tests.This program will help students preparing well for the tryouts and the real contests.

What: Practice prior MathCounts contests with reviews. Learn to solve popular types of  number theory problems. Test-taking techniques will be taught. All sessions will use different materials.

Who: 6th - 8th graders.

When: (3 weeks)

• Week1: 8/4 – 8/8/08 (2-4pm)
• Week2: 8/11 – 8/15/08 (2-4pm)
• Week3: 8/18 - 8/22/08 (4-6pm)
