2010 Summer Programs @Cupertino (flyer)
AM camp (9-12noon): MathEdge+ (Problem Solving and Contest Training)
PM camp (1:30-4:30pm): FunMental (Mental Math) + English Reading&Writing Level AM: MathEdge+Possible Topics PM: FunMentalObjectives JS GK-1 Number sense, place value, mental addition/subtraction, pattern, mental math, addition, subtraction Basic addition facts "0-100" +/- problems done in 3 min verbally Beg G2-3 Place value, Square and square root number, Consecutive numbers, fraction, chances, order of operations, patterns, etc. 30 “0-100”: +/- problems done in 1 min verbally Int G4-5 Fraction, Logic, Venn Diagram, Cryptarithms, Time, Distance, Rate, 2D Geometry, Calendar, Clock, Money, etc. 30 “0-1000”: +/- problems done in 2 min verbally Adv G6-8 Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, 3D Geometry, Probability, Pythagorean Theorem, Series, Sequences, Number Theory, etc. Special 2 digits x 2 digits done in 30s verbally
Weeklong Problem Solving morning camp and Mental Math plus English afternoon camp is being offered. The lunch-time care is included for students signing up both AM and PM. We emphasize the fun and challenging learning. Each day of the AM camp is structured with one-hour lecture, one-hour fun puzzles / exercises, and one-hour contest. Awards will be presented at the end of each week for AM camp. Snack will be provided everyday. Materials won’t be repeated for different weeks. Get discounts for early and/or multiple week signups. This program will prepare students well for the coming school year.
